And so here we are again – the start of a new year.
I am not a fan of New Year’s resolutions. And if the past two years have taught us anything, it is that very little in life is certain. The idea of planning, goal setting, certainty in what is to come…these concepts currently seem alien and jarring.
But a new year has indeed begun, and for many today marks the re-entry into normal life. Much as we would like to hibernate under the 13 tog duvet in a cave of warmth, safety and denial, life marches inexorably on.
So as this year begins, and before we get into the nitty gritty of actually having to think about how we are going to live it (starts next week), I simply want to express this to you:
May you know peace in your dealings with others,
enjoyment of the little things in the moment
understanding of what is most important to you
fulfillment in work, be it paid or unpaid
courage to make good choices
boldness to make positive changes
and time to stop…and just be.
Happy New Year!
